Consumers have been adopting green products and practices for the past several years. Manufacturers have been going greener as well because of government regulations for greenhouse gas emissions, wastewater treatment and the use of toxic chemicals. In addition, many manufacturers have noticed their operations are greener not only because of their efforts to meet mandates but also because of their adoption of lean manufacturing principles.
